Rope Access Glazing Technicians

We are currently recruiting for experienced rope access technicians with commercial glazing experience.

This is a permanent, full-time role and offers a £50k - £75k annual salary in line with glazing experience and level of IRATA certification.

Successful candidates will hold a current Level 2 IRATA certificate as a minimum and ideally have extensive experience in high-level glass and cladding replacement and repair and be accustomed to travelling, with work predominantly based in the UK’s major business hubs. The position therefore offers excellent remuneration and a generous vehicle and expenses package.

You will be working with our experienced rope access teams, specifying and completing lifting and access rigs and high-level glazing repairs and replacement.  Team applications are therefore very welcome.

Experienced Glazing Technicians

We currently have an exciting vacancy for a two-person team of experienced glazing engineers.

This is a fast-paced position based in the field, conducting reactive repairs and replacements for our commercial clients, working with our team of project managers and co-ordinators, based predominantly in the South East and Midlands.  The position therefore comes with a generous vehicle and expenses package, the successful candidates having extensive experience in commercial glazing systems, with residential glazing experience an advantage.  This role offers flexible working and extremely competitive rates of pay, based on experience.

we are seeking a skilled and motivated person to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for driving our growth in the commercial sector. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with glass-focused projects and a deep understanding of the glazing industry.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Project Estimation: Accurately estimate project costs from initial design through to completion

- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the commercial market

- Tender Management: Manage the tendering process, ensuring timely and competitive submissions

- Sub-Contractor Management: Oversee and manage sub-contractors to ensure project deadlines and budgets are met

- Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle

- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure all projects adhere to relevant health and safety regulations

- Quality Control: Maintain high quality standards across all projects

- Reporting: Provide regular progress reports to senior management

Desirable Attributes:

- Proven ability to achieve project deadlines and manage budgets effectively

- Strong knowledge and experience in tender management and submission

- Excellent sub-contractor management skills

- Prior experience with glazing projects, particularly in the commercial sector

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills

- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

- Proactive and self-motivated with a strong business acumen

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the glazing industry or similar role

- Relevant industry certifications (e.g. CSCS card) are advantageous
