The GR South engaged in an internal and external envelope upgrade operation- to an operational airtight biosafety containment facility located in Surrey. This project was not without it’s challenges working internally and externally on an airtight constructed building whilst ensuring that the internal labs and clean rooms are maintained at the pre-designed pressure takes a level of expertise and planning that can only found at Glazing Refurbishment Limited. In the attached image we see the external specialist GR Lab team utilising a mechanical scissor-lift platform to facilitate access to the external façade without the need to remove the existing and in-situ brise-soleil. At GR we specialise in delivering of airtight construction services to Hospital, Medical Facilities and Laboratory containment structures.

The team found at times the site to be difficult to access and with high levels of security it was hard to move materials in and out of the site.
The GLRE team made sure they communicated with their team and staff on site to be as transparent as possible. So everyone knew what was going on and to limit the disruption caused. With a clear plan of action from beginning, ensured the job could run as smoothly as possible.
